NBA 2K Players Tournament

NBA+2K+Players+Tournament

In response to the coronavirus suspending the NBA season, the NBA league and NBA 2K partnered up to create a NBA 2K20 tournament against 16 current NBA players. Those players are Kevin Durant, Trae Young, Hassan Whiteside, Donovan Mitchell, Devin Booker, Andre Drummond, Zach Lavine,Montrezl Harrell, Domantas Sabonis, Deandre Ayton, Demarcus Cousins, Michael Porter Jr, Rui Hachimura,  Patrick Beverley, Harrison Barnes, and Derrick Jones Jr. Their seeding is based on their overall 2K rating and are listed in order from highest to lowest ranking overall.

 

The tournament began April 3rd and so far they have completed one round. The remaining players after round one are Derrick Jones Jr., Montrezl Harrell, Devin Booker, Rui Hachimura, Trae Young, Deandre Ayton, Andre Drummond, and Patrick Beverly. The second round will take place April 9th on ESPN. 

 

The first two rounds are single elimination while the semifinals and finals are both best out of three series. The semifinals and finals take place April 11th on ESPN. The winner will be crowned the ultimate NBA 2K20 champion and select a charity beneficiary to receive a $100,000 donation from 2K, the NBA. and the NBPA in support of ongoing coronavirus relief efforts.
